It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! Dig through your recycle bin and your kid’s toys to make this fun gift to show your favorite teacher some love. Keep reading for two easy to make teacher gift ideas.
I used a cleaned tomato sauce jar and a plastic elephant party favor. I used E6000 to glue the elephant and then applied several coats of spray paint. I think that had I primed the slick plastic I could have used less paint. I will remember that next time!
I wrapped the jar with washi tape, tied on some baker’s twine, and slipped on a fabric yoyo bookmark (that I showed you how to make here). Fill the jar with pencils, and you’re done! I will be adding a tag that says “I will never forget you” (the elephant…get it? Yeah, I’m corny!)
