  2. In Memory of Jessica Ghawi

    Monday, July 30, 2012

I did not know Jessica Ghawi personally, but having read her family's stories about her, I know I would have liked her. Her memorial service is Saturday, at a church not far from my home. I can't take her family's hurt away. I can't undo what's been done. But I can honor one of their requests: to share her story and shine a light on the way she lived, not how she died.

  3.  It's a celebration!!

I am thrilled to be invited to help Jill at Two Yellow Birds Decor celebrate her 1 year bloggiversary!  Please check out my guest post here to say hello and check out the free printable I am offering.

I (very!) recently had a birthday party for my youngest children, who turned 1 and 3.  I planned a "vintage book" themed party and made my own invitations.

  4. These shoes started out as plain ol' $1 flip flops from Walmart.  With a little magic (ok, maybe just some craft supplies and a touch of ingenuity) I turned them into my new favorite footwear.

  15. Getting to Know Me?

    Monday, July 2, 2012

Don't laugh, but this post is going to be hard for me.
I don't really like talking about myself, and I tend to stick to just tutorials on my blog.
But two lovely fellow bloggers have nominated me for two awards,
so I'm going to play along.
I'll try not to bore you.
And, because I'm a teacher, there will be a quiz at the end of the post.
    So take notes.
