I used my die cutting machine with nautical themed dies to cut the magnet sheet.
I used a gift bag die to cut patterned paper. I used my Xyron tape runner to assemble the gift bag.
Next, I embellished the bags with coordinating stickers from Quick Quotes. Punch holes in the bag and add a twine handle and the favor bag is complete!
To make the fishing pole, tie a bit of twine to a painted dowel rod, then tie a button to the other end of the twine. Use permanent glue (I used jewelry glue) to glue a small magnet to the back of the button.
Add a few die cut shapes to each bag, then drop the fishing pole inside. Your magnetic fishing game favor is now complete! My kids love to play this when waiting at restaurants or at appointments. The cute die cut shapes are magnets, so you can extend their use by creating a sorting or matching game and sticking the shapes on the fridge. So many creative possibilities with these supplies!
