I made these fun little test tube necklaces for my kids for Valentine’s Day.  I filled them with candies, but I wanted it to be something that they could later fill with little notes, glitter, or whatever interests them.

I found the test tubes at Mindy Mae’s Market, a deal a day site that has lots of fun crafty and home items.  I embellished them with various things.  Would you believe that the words are actually made by wrapping grungeboard in silver tape (that I found at Big Lots in the tool section!) and then stamping them with my metal stamps.  I love that it looks like metal!  I added twine and charms to complete the necklaces.  The kids really liked them, more for the candy than the necklace, I think, but that’s OK!

I’m toying with the idea of making these to sell, maybe as party favors?  What do you think?
