Looking for a fun, quick project?  Here’s a way to turn some dollar store “art” into a chalk/clipboard!

I started with this board on an easel that I found at the Dollar Tree.  I had priced mini canvases and easels at the craft store ($$$) so I was thrilled to find the easel and board already assembled for $1!

I painted on Mod Podge, pressed on some paper, and let it dry.  After it had dried I cut off the excess and sanded the edges of the paper.

I inked the edges of the paper and then sealed it with Mod Podge.

I cut chalkboard vinyl with my Silhouette and adhered it.

Finally, hot glue brads or buttons to mini clothespins, and glue the clip onto your project.

Voila!  An adorable easel for your desk, counter, or anywhere!  You can write notes with chalk or clip pictures to it.  Use it to label tables or dishes at receptions.  It would make a great recipe holder, too!

Customize it to suit your style and needs.  For $1 you can make a bunch of them!  Frugal yet still Fabulous!

Thank you for visiting my corner!  I’d love for you to follow via Facebook or  Google Friends to keep up with my latest projects!
