I always check the frame section at Goodwill. Many of the frames are plastic or look outdated, but that’s easy to fix. Find a frame that has a shape you like (I’m drawn to oval frames) and make it match your decor.
Supplies:
- Various frames from Goodwill
- Spray Paint
- Krylon’s Looking Glass Spray Paint
Step three: Clean the glass well. Spray the back side of the glass with the Looking Glass paint. Be sure to follow the instructions on the can. Apply several light layers to achieve the mirror effect.
This is an easy way to make a gallery wall while on a budget. Find Goodwill frames in the shape or style you like, and simply spray paint them the same color to look cohesive. No one will ever guess that they didn’t match before. Turning one picture frame into a mirror makes a nice focal piece for your wall, and it still coordinates with the frames.

This is such a neat idea, Morena! Never thought to use the looking glass spray to achieve the actual mirror effect. Sometimes I can feel really dumb when the light bulb goes off. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you, Gail! The Looking Glass spray paint is amazing…I may never buy a decorative mirror again. LOL.
I decorated my house with Good Will frames, wish I could get those great oval frames though.
