I love to craft with thrifted items! Not only is it budget friendly, it’s fun to give new life to something old. As a Goodwill San Antonio blogger, I’ve shared several tutorials on how to craft with thrift store finds. Keep reading to learn about an upcoming Goodwill Craft War and to cast your vote for Round One of my friendly craft battle.
If you’re in the San Antonio area, come craft with me at Goodwill San Antonio’s first ever craft war! It’s being held on Thursday, July 24th, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Goodwill Store at Bitters Road and U.S. 281 (13311 San Pedro Ave., San Antonio, TX 78216).
What is it exactly? Mom’s Night Out at Goodwill will offer San Antonio women a free, creative and relaxing way to spend a summer evening learning the latest Etsy-style crafts and art tips from the fabulous DIY bloggers at Morena’s Corner, Maker Mama and 7 Lovely Things.
The event will feature hands-on demonstrations followed by a “craft battle” with prizes such as DIY kits featuring art supplies and a gift card for two to The Royal Canvas Painting Parlor. Borrowing from the Food Network’s Iron Chef concept, battle participants will compete to see who can make the most unique crafts using similar materials.

To get in the mood for the upcoming craft battle, I thought I’d offer up some thrifted inspiration and have a friendly craft war here at Morena’s Corner. For Round One, I’m focusing on crafts that incorporate vinyl records. Here are 6 projects for you to consider. Check them out, and vote for your favorite project by leaving a comment! I’ll announce the winning craft on Tuesday morning and start Round Two of the crafty challenge.

Can’t decide yet. I have to check them all out but when I clicked on the purse but the link to the table was there.
Gail, I wish I could afford to hire you as my editor! Thanks for pointing that out!
I like all of them but my favorite is the side table!!!
