I hoard own a lot of scrapbooking embellishments, but I still run into the problem of not finding just the right piece for a project. No problem! I used supplies from Vintaj to make the perfect retro scissor for this fun, handmade card.
This post first appeared at Blitsy, when I was on the 2015 Design Team.
Supplies:
- Ranger Vintaj Silver Foil Sheet
- Vintaj Patinas -Onyx
- Brand New Xcut A5 Die Set 20/Pkg-Haberdashery Brand New
- American Crafts Patterned Paper and Chipboard sticker
- Martha Stewart Crafts Scoring Board
- Adhesive
Step one: Die cut the scissors from the foil sheet. Paint the handles black with the patina.
Step two: Use patterned paper and the scoring board to make a 4 x 6 card. Make a 4×6 panel for the front, and cut a horizontal line midway through it. Use the scoring tool to make the flaps, and glue them down. Attach the scissors and adhere the panel to the front of the card.
Step three: Embellish the card with the chipboard sticker flower. Stamp the sentiment on a sticker tag and attach it to the front of the card.
The adhesive backed foil sheets are perfect for paper crafts! I love that I can create and paint my own metal embellishments, then simply peel off the backing and attach the embellishment to my card. I can’t wait to cut and color more fun shapes with these tools! Have fun crafting and creating!
