Gnomes. Do you love them or hate them? I loooooove them! They are so stinkin’ cute! This is the first of a few gnome projects I’ve completed lately: a “hangin’ with my gnomies” wall hook! Get it? Hangin’…and it’s a hook that you hang stuff on? Just humor me.
I got to use some adorable papers from my sponsor, Simple Stories, for this craft. I combined their cute papers and stickers with my Xyron and a dollar store over-the-door hook to make a fun piece of home decor. Here’s how I did it:
Supplies used (affiliate links included):
Step one: Cut two 3 inch wide strips of paper from both the scalloped designed paper and attach the ends together to create a strip that is as long as the hook. Repeat this step with the flower paper.
Step two: Use the Xyron tape runner to join the scalloped paper with the flower paper.
Step three: Cut two strips of the unbelievably cute gnome paper. Adhere the row of gnomes over the background papers.
Step four: Use the Simple Stories stickers to spell out “hangin’ with my gnomies”.
Step five: Embellish the papers with stickers and cardstock embellishments from the collection. I love how easy it is to coordinate everything!
Step six: Run the finished project through the Xyron Creative Station to laminate it. I love that I don’t have to plug it in or wait for it to heat up. I just pop in the laminating cartridge and roll the paper through! Trim off the excess laminating film.
Place the finished gnome sign over the door hook and use clear packaging tape to hold in it in place. Now you have a cheerful colorful hook that you can use to hang keys, jewelry, or scarves on! Have fun crafting and creating!
