Step five: Paint the mini wood embellishments with chalk paint. I used mini anchors and a pilot’s wheel. When the wood pieces are dry, glue them, along with the mini life preservers, onto the oar.

Step six: Use a pencil to mark where to place the knobs. I used a ruler to make sure they were evenly spaced! Use a drill to make holes in the wood, then insert the knobs and screw them in place with the included hardware.

This paddle wall hook would make a fun towel hanger in a bathroom or at a beach house. You could also use it as a summer jewelry organizer. There are lots of ways to decorate and use these unfinished wood oars! Have fun crafting and creating nautical decor!
