This I love you more than coffee sign adds charm and humor to your home decor!

Supplies Used for the I Love You More Than Coffee Sign: (affiliate links included)
- Wood plaque, 6 inches square
- Martha Stewart Paint
- Silhouette of America Silhouette Chipboard, 12 by 12-Inch, 25/Pack
- Coffee SVG file from Lighthouse Paper Co.
- Tim Holtz Idea-ology Layers-Botanicals, 83 Pieces
- Xyron Creative Station Lite (5 Inch with 3 Inch Option)
- Mod Podge Antique Matte
- Sanding tool

Paint the front and sides of the plaque. Let the paint dry, and then distress the edges lightly by sanding them. Be sure to remove all the dust when you’re done.

Import the Coffee SVG file to Silhouette Studio. Cut the file from the chipboard. Don’t take the paper off the cutting mat yet! Trust me, the next two steps will be so much easier if you leave the paper on the mat. (I figured this out the hard way!)

Paint the cut chipboard using the same color that was used for the trim of the wood base. I like when I can get a perfect color match like this, and using chipboard made it possible to paint the paper.

After the paint is dry, take the cut image off the cutting mat and roll it through the Creative Station.

I used my Xyron Creative Station Lite to add adhesive to the back of the cut piece. Remove the plastic cover piece, peel off the cup, and affix it to the painted plaque. Remove each of the center parts for the letters (like “o”) and stick everything where it needs to go.

I had pretrimmed floral papers to fit around the coffee cup. I used my Xyron sticker maker to stick the pretty florals around the cup.

To finish it off, I painted the project with two layers of Antique Matte Mod Podge. This will make sure all the little pieces stay in place over time, and helps give it the shabby chic finish that I wanted to achieve.

I turned my wine bar into a coffee bar in my home, and this sign is perfect for that space! I added a sawtooth hanger to the back so I could put this on the wall.

You could make a smaller version to create colorful coasters with this, too! Have fun crafting and creating. For more coffee themed projects, click here.
