Make llama pop art to add some fun decor to your space! This is a sponsored post.
Are you crushing on llamas like I am? I was so excited to receive some hot off the press dies from Newton’s Nook. Loveable Llamas is a fun die set that has a coordinating stamp set as well. I used the dies with my Xyron Creative Station to create fun, flocked pop art!
Be sure to visit both the Xyron Facebook page and Newton’s Nook Facebook page to enter for a chance to win a great prize! Each company is giving away a $25 Newton’s Nook gift certificate and a Xyron Mega Runner.
Supplies Used to make Llama Pop Art:
- Loveable Llamas die cut set from Newton’s Nook
- Xyron 624632 Creative Station, 9″ with 5″ Option
- Cardstock
- Flocking Powder
- Wood art canvas, 8×8 inches
- Black paint
Paint the sides of the canvas black. Set it aside to dry.
Cut eight 4 inch squares from four colors of cardstock. I chose colors to match the four colors of flocking powder I used: white, pink, red, light blue.
Place the llama die in the center of the paper and roll it through the die cutting machine. Repeat with all four colors. Save the positive image for later…we’re keeping the negative cut!
Die cut the llama’s blanket from patterned paper that has colors similar to the four primary colors used in the project.
Roll each of the uncut squares of cardstock through the CS lite to add adhesive to them. Peel the backing off and place the cardstock sticky side facing up on your work surface.
Place the negative image of the llama on the adhesive paper. The llama portion will be sticky.
Place the blanket on the llama. The adhesive will hold it in place.
Pour flocking powder on the llama. Press the powder in and shake off the excess. Does anyone else giggle when you say “flocking powder”? Just me? OK.
Repeat this for all four colors.
Roll the completed llama prints through the CS Lite to add adhesive. Peel and stick the llama squares on the painted wood canvas.
Cut thin strips of black cardstock. Use a Xyron sticker maker to add adhesive to the strips and attach them to the piece to make a frame around each color block.
It’s so cute and fluffy! I hung this on the wall in my work space and it adds so much cheer to my room! Have fun crafting and creating loveable llama pop art decor!
