Make a cute gift bag DIY. This is a sponsored post.
We are heading into gift giving season! From hostess gifts to the holidays, I’m making plans for how to show my gratitude and love to those who are dear to me. These cute gift bag DIY ideas are perfect for party favors and for gift giving. I used paper from Jillibean Soup, my Xyron adhesives, and my Silhouette Cameo to quickly make these adorable bags.

I really wanted a classic black and white look for the glasses bag. I love paper with text, and this design was perfect. I cut the bag from one 12×12 inch paper. I used a hot glue gun to assemble the bag.
I used the patterned black paper to cut two pairs of glasses, one for each side of the bag. I’m an eternal optimist, so my glasses are rose colored! I traced the lens part over the butterfly paper and cut them out. I used my Xyron tape runner to hold the rose colored “lenses” in place.
I wanted to mimic the look of plastic and glass for my shades, and the laminate refill for my Xyron Creative Station Lite was perfect for the job. I rolled the glasses through, trimmed the laminate, and glued the chic shades to the bag. Finish it off with a cute ribbon.
I opted for fall-like colors from the paper collection to make this owl-some bag. First I cut all the pieces out.
I like to ink the edges, but this is optional. I like the finished look it gives the pieces, making them look a little like they’ve been stamped or drawn.
My Xyron sticker maker was perfect for adding adhesive to the small pieces that make up the owl. After I rolled them through the sticker maker, I peeled each piece off the backing and stuck it to the bag front.
My glue gun helped me close the sides of the bag. A chevron ribbon ties the top of the gift bag closed.
I think the recipient will enjoy the bag almost as much as they like the gift that’s inside!
