This Aquaman craft is perfect for your movie night girls night out. This is a sponsored post.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who is really excited about the upcoming Aquaman movie. Not only does it look like a great story that is visually stunning, but it also features Jason Momoa. Hello! When I received these beautiful ocean and mermaid themed papers from Wild Whisper I immediately thought of Aquaman. I combined the papers with clear images using my Xyron adhesives to make this Aquaman craft. These treat bags, filled with Swedish fish, are perfect for your girl’s night out at the movies.
Supplies Used to make the Aquaman Craft DIY Treat Bags:
- Wild Whimsy Paper Pack
- Xyron Creative Station, 9″ with 5″ Option
- Xyron Mega Runner
- Treat Box Cut File from the Silhouette Store
- Clear Printable Transparency Paper
- Jute Cord
- Sea Themed Embellishments
Choose a gift box with an opening from the Silhouette Design Store, or whatever your preferred digital cut file source is.
Download pictures from the official Aquaman movie site and save them. Size them to fit the opening of the treat bag and print the images on a clear printable transparency sheet.
Trace and cut out the images.
Roll the clear printed images through the Xyron Creative Station to add adhesive to the back. I love to use my Xyron with clear papers because the adhesive is perfectly clear and does not show at all! I want the images to look like they are underwater, which is why I printed on clear transparencies and not plain white paper.
Attach the sticker papers to the desired background. This will add some texture to the background and make the picture look more watery.
Use a Xyron tape runner to attach the frames to the images.
Glue the images to the box using the Xyron Tape Runner.
The Xyron tape runner adhesive is tough enough that it will hold the bag together. Roll the adhesive on the folded edges and assemble the treat bag.
I filled my treat bags with Swedish Fish because why not? They seemed perfect for the theme.
