When I taught elementary and preschool, a favorite craft for mother’s day or Fiesta was tissue paper flowers. The only downside to this project is how easily tissue paper tears, and that can be frustrating to kids.  Here’s an alternative:  make the flowers with rip proof, fray proof Oly*Fun fabric.
The end result is beautiful and this bouquet will last a long time.  Check out my short video tutorial:

This bouquet makes a great mother’s day or teacher appreciation gift from kids.  They are also great for Fiesta here in San Antonio.  These flowers are also perfect for making oversized Texas homecoming mums, like I did here.  Have fun crafting and creating!
