Make a garden glove bunny to liven up your decor with this Easter. Learn how to turn a glove into a cute garden bunny to decorate with.
Hoppy Easter! This fun piece of springtime decor will brighten your garden. Turn garden gloves into bright, cheery bunnies. This would be a fun craft to make with your family or friends. Since you can embellish them in lots of different ways, each bunny will be unique!
Supplies Used to make the Garden Glove Bunny:
- Garden Gloves (I got mine at the dollar store)
- Poly-Fil Fiber Fill Quick Craft Pack
- Googly eyes
- Pom poms: one small pink, two medium white, one large pink
- Twine
- Dowel Rod
- Various embellishments
- Hot glue gun
Step one: Invert the thumb part of the glove to create a pocket.
Step two: Fold down the fingers on the ends to make the bunny’s arms. Use hot glue to keep them in place.
Step three: Hot glue the tip of one “ear” down.
Step four: Glue on two eyes. Then add two white pom poms and one pink one to make the mouth area and nose of the bunny.
Step five: Embellish the bunny with various miniatures. You can use baskets, mini eggs, flowers, bows, and any other object you think a garden bunny might be carrying around. Hot glue the items in place.
Step six: Glue a pom pom tail onto the back of the bunny.
Step seven: Fill the garden glove bunny up with Poly-Fil stuffing from Fairfield World. Push the stuffing up into the “ears” of the bunny, then fill the body up.
Step eight: Insert a dowel rod in the glove. Use twine to tie up the end of the glove and to keep it on the dowel rod.
Simply push the dowel rod into floral foam for a cute centerpiece or piece of home decor. If you’re putting your garden glove bunnies outside you can just stick the dowel rod in the soil. These perky bunnies will brighten any space! Have fun crafting and creating!
