Are you on the nice list this year? Help kids stay on track this holiday season with this adorable Nice-O-Meter DIY sign idea! Move the magnetic star each day to give kids feedback and let them know where their behavior stands. Or just use it as a cute piece of Christmas decor. I used my FAVORITE vinyl, Luster by StyleTech Craft, to make this project and I just LOVE the color and the finish this adhesive vinyl has.

step one

Download the SVG File and cut each section. I used four colors for this project:

  1. Champagne for the base.
  2. Vibrant red for the first line.
  3. Kiwi Green for the second line.
  4. Jolly Green for the last line.

The sections are marked by color in the SVG download so you can organize them to cut from each color. Cut and weed the vinyl.

step 2

Cut the champagne vinyl sheet to fit on the metal sheet. Then use the transfer tape to add each line to the sign. I weeded the letters from each section so that the champagne color popped through.

I traced a wood star onto the champagne colored vinyl to cover it. My star already had a magnet in it, but you can glue a magnet onto the wood piece to make your own magnet. Place the decorate metal sheet into the frame (I painted an old frame white) and then set it up to display!
