Make an adorable teacher’s sticky note holder to show your appreciation! Learn how easy it is to make this project with your laser cutter.
Show your favorite teachers how much you appreciate them with this fun gift that you can customize with their name! I used my S1 laser cutter with easy to use laser SVG files from Printable Cuttable Creatables to quickly make this project. After you have cut them out you can customize them any way you like! Here are two ways that I decorated my wood cut outs that you might like to try, too!
Teacher’s Sticky Note Holder Gift Supplies Used
- Apple Sticky Note Holder Laser File
- Pencil Sticky Note Holder SVG File
- xTool S1 Laser
- 3MM Basswood
- Paint
- Glitter Faux Leather Sheets
Open the SVG files in your laser’s software program, and don’t adjust the size. They are already set to the perfect size for holding sticky notes. Cut and score the designs from the wood.
With the apple shaped teacher’s sticky note holder I wanted to add some bling and make it shine! I used glitter faux leather sheets that I traced and cut to fit the wood cuts. Since you have the SVG file you can also cut them using your Silhouette or Cameo, too.
Once the pieces are cut out, glue them onto the front of the sticky note holder. Once that has dried you can glue the pieces to the base piece.
For the pencil teacher’s sticky note holder I used a new line of paints from Plaid Crafts. They are watercolor paints, so the score lines still show through the paint. I love how vibrant the colors are, too!
I used a metallic paint for the metal part of the “pencil”. Once the paint has dried you can glue the front piece to the base.
I love how colorful and fun these turned out! Teacher will never lose her sticky notes again with these adorable holders!
