I present to you the perfect summer sleepover activity: color your own pillow! This fun project, made with StyleTech Craft heat transfer vinyl and fabric markers, is sure to be a hit. Not only will it keep kids entertained, it will also be a cherished keepsake to remind them of their summer fun.

Sleepover Activity Supplies Needed:
- Blank pillow cover (1 per guest)
- Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
- Cutting machine (like Cricut or Silhouette)
- Coloring book-style SVG files
- Weeding tool
- Iron or heat press
- Fabric markers
- Weather Soft Pillow Inserts
This short video tutorial shows you how to make this project, but I’ve also included a written tutorial below:
- Choose Your Design
Select some simple, bold-line SVG files that resemble coloring book images. Think fun summer themes—ice cream cones, stars, animals, or personalized names! - Cut the Design
Use your cutting machine to cut the designs out of heat transfer vinyl. I used four different colors/finishes from the StyleTech Craft line: black, two shades of blue, and a metallic gold. Weed out the extra vinyl so only your outline remains. Weeding is so easy with these HTV sheets! - Iron It On
Position the design on a plain white pillow cover and use an iron or heat press to adhere the vinyl to the fabric. Let it cool completely. - Time to Color!
Hand out fabric markers and let the kids color in their pillowcase masterpieces. It’s the perfect way to keep them entertained and wind down before bedtime. - Add the Fluff
Once their art is complete and dry, insert a soft and squishy Weather Soft™ Pillow Insert by Fairfield World to turn their artwork into a comfy pillow.

Tips:
- Set up a “Coloring Station” with fabric markers and snacks.
- Use name-themed SVGs so each pillow is personalized!
- Let pillowcases dry overnight before packing them to go home.

Have fun and get creative! This easy to create activity is a wonderful way to make memories and help kids make a useful keepsake.
