Video Instructions
Step 1: Assemble the Tube Shape
Use zip ties to stack four round hampers. I bought the hampers and zip ties at Dollar Tree.
Step 2: Cut and Sew Oly-Fun
Cut strips that are 48” long and 7.5” wide. You will need 4 white strips and 4 red strips per firecracker. Sew the strips together to create a tube. Slide the tube over the hampers.
Step 3: Make the Top
Cut a circle of foam core board or cardboard slightly larger than the diameter of your tube. Cut Snow White Oly-Fun to cover the circle and hot glue it onto the top.
Step 4: Decorate!
Add stars cut from Blueberry Oly-Fun® and use fabric glue to attach them to the firecracker body.
Step 5: Add a Fuse
Cut metallic Oly-Fun to create sparks! Tape the sparks to a toothpick and insert into a styrofoam ball. Hot glue the ball onto a cut piece of pool noodle, and glue it onto the top of the giant firecracker.
