Instructions

  • Prep the Box
Start by painting the entire wood box with Americana Acrylics Snow White. Apply two coats if needed, allowing the paint to dry completely between layers for a smooth, crisp base.
  • Stencil the Front
Once dry, place the mod stick-on stencil on the front of the box. Using a stencil brush or foam pouncer, dab Citron Green, Baby Blue, and Baby Pink over the stencil. Build the color slowly and repeat the pattern until the entire front of the box is covered. Peel away the stencil to reveal a playful retro design.

  • Create Sparkly Trees
Paint three papier-mâché cones in your chosen holiday colors. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle Glamour Dust over the surface to add subtle sparkle. Set aside to dry completely.

  • Build the Snowy Base
Open the box and cut a piece of floral foam to fit snugly inside the base. Hot glue it in place. Generously cover the foam with Snow-Tex, creating texture and gentle snowdrifts.
  • Assemble the Scene
Arrange the 3-D metal ornament and bottle brush tree on top of the Snow-Tex base. Add a little Snow-Tex to the bottoms of the cone trees before placing them into the scene so they look naturally nestled in the snow.
  • Final Touches
Add extra Snow-Tex around the bases or lightly on branches if you want more wintry detail. Let everything dry completely before displaying.
