Create a Wonderland themed party quickly and easily by using items found at home and chalkboard labels from OnlineLabels.com.
Create a memorable party with a fun theme that’s easily customizeable thanks to chalkboard labels! Alice in Wonderland is a timeless classic, and works well for lots of party themes: birthdays, socials, showers, etc. Let me show you how easy it is to quickly create a whimsical tea party in the garden for your next get together
I’m so excited to test the new chalkboard labels from my sponsor, OnlineLabels.com, for this project. OnlineLabels.com creates professional grade printable labels, and their brand’s high quality is evident with this new product. Unlike their other labels, the chalkboard sheets are not printable. They are, however, extremely sturdy and durable, and perfect for crafting with. I’ve tried other chalkboard vinyls, and they tend to be flimsy. Not this product: the Chalkboard sheets from OnlineLabels.com cut perfectly and they stay put, even after washing!
I created several quick projects for this party theme. For most of them I used a cut file that I created, and which you can download for free HERE. Here are some of the other items I used with this project:
Supplies Used:
- Chalkboard Labels from OnlineLabels.com (OL3286CB)
- Free .svg cut file
- Milk glasses
- Ribbon and twine
- Recycled door knobs
- Craft Wire
- Mini bottles
To make the drinking glasses, cut the Alice and rabbit images from the chalkboard sheet. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the images. Peel the cut image off the backing and adhere it to the milk glass. Use a permanent chalk pen to write “drink me” on the jar, and embellish it with some ribbon and a straw.
To make the treat jars, adhere two of the cut chalkboard tags back to back. Write “eat me” on the tag, and tie it onto a miniature bottle. Fill the bottle with small treats for guests to enjoy.
The place cards were made with discarded door knobs and wire. Wrap the wire to make a loop, and insert it into the hole of the knob. Add a chalkboard tag to some cardstock, and use the wire to hold it in place. Embellish it with some tulle ribbon.
Fun signs are easy to make thanks to the chalkboard sheet that has the divided backing (OL3285CB). This makes the sheet easy to apply and helps avoid bubbles in the finish. Peel one section off, and adhere it to the glass from a picture frame. Remove the second part of the backing from the sheet, and smooth out bubbles as you press down the sheet. Reinsert the glass in the frame, then decorate it. I used a phrase from Alice in Wonderland to create a sign for our flamingo croquet game.
So, who’s ready to party, Wonderland style? I know I am!
