Have fun in the sun with this flamingo croquet set! I originally designed this project for DecoArt.
You might have noticed this fun flamingo croquet set in my Alice in Wonderland themed party that was seen HERE. My kids loved this project and I had to make two sets so my youngest two could both play! Here’s how you can make your own fun flamingo croquet set to play with this summer!

- 3 inch Smooth Styrofoam Ball
- Dowel Rod
- Craft Knife

Step one: Mix white and pink paint to create a light pink color. Paint the flamingo with the light pink paint mixture and let it dry.
Step two: Paint the beak and eye area with white paint as pictured. Let it dry.
Step three: Use the black paint to create the eyes and eyebrows on the flamingo. Also paint the end of the beak black and paint a squiggly mouth on the beak.
Step four: Dry brush the Pink paint over the tail of the flamingo to add some dimension to it. Dry brush white paint over the neck and wings as well.
Step five: Paint the dowel rod yellow. Cut a circle in the bottom of the bird, insert the dowel rod and glue it in place.
Step six: Paint the styrofoam ball Brown. Let it dry.
Step seven: Paint the front of the ball with a rounded heart shape to make the hedgehog’s face.
Step eight: Use the dark brown paint to outline the face. Paint the ears and add “v” like shapes to create the fur. Paint 4 circles on the bottom of the ball to make paws.
Step nine: Add the eyes, nose and mouth with black paint.
