Create a festive Christmas tree countdown calendar using products from Graphic 45, Petaloo, and Xyron. Great home decor craft project!
You know how I love all things vintage and shabby chic, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to join a blog hop with Graphic 45 and Petaloo! Graphic 45 always has drool worthy retro imagery in their products, and Petaloo creates vividly colored flowers that are perfect for lots of crafting. They’ve teamed up with Xyron to share some amazing Christmas crafts from various designers, and giving YOU the chance to win some great prizes. Click HERE to learn how to enter.
I combined beautiful holiday papers from Graphic 45 with lovely Petaloo foliage to create a present filled Christmas tree countdown calendar. By using my Xyron Creative Station instead of liquid adhesive I was able to complete this entire project in one afternoon, and didn’t have to deal with smelly glues or long drying times!
My plan is to add present number 1 on December 1st, and then continue each day until the tree is full. If you prefer, you could fill the tree on the first and remove one present each day. Either way will work!
Supplies to make the christmas tree countdown calendar:
- Christmas Tree with Shelves
- Graphic 45 Paper Collection: St. Nicholas
- Petaloo Holiday Collection
- Xyron 624632 Creative Station, 9″ with 5″ Option
- Number stickers
- Green Paint
- Wood blocks

What an awesome idea this is! I love advent calendars and love seeing ones that are so unique. Of course, G45 papers, Petaloo floral & Xyron adhesives are a perfect combo to make it come all together so beautifully as this.

Fantastic advent tree. Looks simple enough to make. Unfortunately, I don’t have any small kids anymore. They’re all grown and moved away. Maybe when I get grandkids, I can make one of these for them. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.
I’m glad you like the idea! Thanks!
OMG!!! Your project is really awesome!!!
awww, thank you!
You’re welcome! <3
Love the idea of adding the presents.
If you put them all on at first and then
take them off you are ruining the
look of the tree.
It’s a wonderful advent calendar.
thanks for sharing.
I think it’s much more fun to build the anticipation (and the tree!)
What nifty number blocks.
Thanks!
Gorgeous and a fabulous
idea! Love how you
decorated the little
blocks.
