step-8

Step four:  Use the Xyron tape runner to attach the green leaves to the tree.  Use hot glue to add the beautiful flowers to the shelves.

step-4 step-5

Step five:  Cut squares and rectangles of paper to cover the wood blocks to look like presents.  I used blocks that I found in my kid’s block bin, but you can find unfinished wood at the craft store, too.  Use the Creative Station to add adhesive to the papers so they will stick to the wood.

Step six:  Embellish the blocks with gold thread.  Add numbers stickers 1-24 to the blocks.

  1. What an awesome idea this is! I love advent calendars and love seeing ones that are so unique. Of course, G45 papers, Petaloo floral & Xyron adhesives are a perfect combo to make it come all together so beautifully as this.

  2. Fantastic advent tree. Looks simple enough to make. Unfortunately, I don’t have any small kids anymore. They’re all grown and moved away. Maybe when I get grandkids, I can make one of these for them. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.

  3. Love the idea of adding the presents.
If you put them all on at first and then
take them off you are ruining the
    look of the tree.
    It’s a wonderful advent calendar.
    thanks for sharing.
