Mar 25, 2018 by Morena Leave a Comment

Make an Easter bunny hat decorative piece!  This is a sponsored post with Fairfield World but all ideas and opinions are my own.

Welcome spring with this colorful and oversized piece of Easter decor!  This extra large Easter Bunny Hat makes a great centerpiece or piece of home decor.

Welcome spring with this colorful and oversized piece of Easter decor!  This extra large Easter Bunny Hat makes a great centerpiece or piece of home decor.  I used craft fabric and a super soft yet supportive stabilizer to make this no sew decorative project.

Supplies Used to Make the Easter Bunny Hat: (includes affiliate links)

  • Support Soft Foam Stabilizer
  • Oly Fun Multi-Purpose 60-Inch Craft Material, 10-Yard, Sea Green
  • Fairfield LFC-04 Oly Fun Multipurpose Bubble Gum Craft Material (3 Pack), 12″ by 12″
  • Brand New Oly Fun Multipurpose Craft Material 12″”X12″” 3/Pkg-Snow White Brand New
  • Artificial Flowers
  • AdTech Ultra Low-Temp Cool Tool | Mini Hot Glue Gun for Safe Crafting

Cut a piece of Support so that it is 12 inches tall by 20 inches wide (approximately).

Cut a piece of Sea Green Oly-Fun from the bolt. Double the fabric up and trim the piece so it is 1/2 inch larger than the rectangle of Support. Use the low temp glue gun to glue the edges of the Oly-Fun to the foam.

Glue the fabric covered foam into a cylindrical shape.

Cut slits in the excess Oly-Fun fabric. Fold the fabric over and hot glue it down to cover the edges of the tube.

Cut two large circles of Support and Oly-Fun fabric. One circle should be larger than the tube to use as a base for the hat. The other should fit the top.  Hot glue the circles in place.

Hot glue a strip of Snow White Oly Fun fabric to decorate the hat.

Make a bow from Bubblegum Oly-Fun fabric and glue it on.

Glue on fabric flowers to finish decorating the hat.

Cut ears from Support and Oly-Fun. Hot glue the pieces in place as pictured.

This Easter Bunny hat would look great next to this fluffy bunny garland!
