Make a shark pool float using vinyl from StyleTechCraft. This is a sponsored post.
My youngest son decided to have a shark themed pool party for his birthday this year. I’ve reserved the pool at our gym and am excited to make this day fun for him and his friends. I thought it would be fun to decorate the pool floats with sharks to keep with the theme. If you’ve ever been to a public pool or pool party, you know how easily kids mix up their toys and floats. Vinyl is a great way to personalize your items!
I used sharks for my pool floats, but you can personalize yours with your name, address, or a favorite design. Just cut and stick! Here’s how I made my shark pool float.
I used Matte Removable vinyl by StyleTechCraft so I can remove the sharks easily without damaging the pool float. I opted for red, blue, and a bright coral color. I used an image from the Silhouette Design Store that is called “Tribal Shark” and cut two from each color of vinyl.
I weeded the vinyl and found myself muttering “one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish” under my breath.
Use transfer tape to lift the machine cut shark from the backing. I used transfer tape from StyleTechCraft. I like this one because I can see the image through the tape, which makes it easier to position.
Press the shark onto the pool float and peel the transfer tape off. Repeat until all the sharks are on the pool float.
This plain blue float is now swimming with sharks! What a fun improvement, don’t you think? I can’t wait to inflate more pool floats so I can decorate them with vinyl too. Have fun crafting and creating!
