I’ve never taken Valentine’s Day seriously, and this project is one example of my silly sense of crafting humor. Even if you don’t share my sense of humor, I hope you can use this idea to personalize your digital papers to create your own unique gifts!
I love to think outside the box and find ways to stretch my craft supplies as much as possible. The box file is designed for beer cans and glasses, but you can easily adjust the size to make it for smaller or larger items.
Digital papers are awesome because they can be used in so many ways! You don’t need any fancy software or special skills to create your own custom papers for projects like this one. Use the text feature in your design software to add your own words to any digital paper.

- 16oz Beer Can Glass Box SVG File
- Shepherd’s Check Digital Paper Pack & Seamless Patterns
- Kraft Cardstock (12” x 12”)
- White Cardstock (8.5” x 11”)
- Printer
- Silhouette Design Studio
- Cameo Cutting Machine
Upload and open both the box cut file and the paper in your design studio.
Arrange the purple panels (which are glued onto the box) so that they fit the patterned paper.
Compose the text. Choose your font and any graphics you want to add (I added some retro style stars as bullet points). Change the color of lines and fill the font with the same color (I used white).
Change the purple panel color to “transparent”. Now the machine still knows where to cut but the purple boxes won’t be printed.
Add registration marks to the page before you print it. Once the marks are in place you can print the pattern with text onto white cardstock paper.
Remove the text before you send the image to your Silhouette cutting machine. Otherwise it will cut all the letters out!
