Turn heads with these adorable tiny book earrings! I’m back from my Italian summer vacation with a fun project for you to try! I love all things miniature, and I saw some cute tiny book earrings for sale when I was in Firenze. I decided to make my own, and here’s how I did it! Follow along with this tiny book earrings tutorial (there’s also a video tutorial!) so you can make your own.
Tiny Book Earrings Tutorial Supplies
- Chipboard
- Cardstock
- Silhouette Design Studio
- Stacked Books with Apple SVG
- Xyron Creative Station with Laminate + Adhesive
- Tombow Liquid Glue
- Earring Findings and Jump ring
- Jewelry Pliers
- Printer
- Silhouette Cameo and Design Studio
Start out in your design studio by creating rectangles for the pages. Mine were 1 inch tall and 1.5 inches wide. Add a score line in the middle to make them easier to fold. Make the covers slightly bigger than the pages, add two score lines and a circle for the earring finding (see image below). Once this is done you can import your graphics to add to the design.
Print and cut the pages and cover from cardstock. Cut just the cover piece from chipboard.
Use the Laminate + Adhesive cartridge in a Creative Station to protect the book cover while adding adhesive to the back.
Trim the laminated cover and add it to the chipboard cover. Fold on the scored lines.
Poke through the hole to make it easier to add the jump ring and earring pieces.
Fold the book pages on the scored line. You will need four sheets to make 8 total pages in the book. Glue the page edges together and then glue them inside the book.
When you get bored you can doodle in the tiny pages of your earrings! Have fun crafting and creating unique jewelry with cute graphic designs from PCC!!
