As the flowers of spring emerge, there’s no better way to celebrate the season’s arrival than by crafting charming and colorful spring cards. With a blend of paper and vinyl, you can create delightful designs that capture the essence of spring magic! This is a sponsored post with StyleTech Craft Vinyl, but all ideas and opinions are my own.
I love to use vinyl to make my cards! As a child I played with stickers a LOT (sticker books where you stuck the picture on the page to complete the image were a favorite) so in a way vinyl for card making takes me back to my childhood. When I use my own vinyl cuts to create cards I can use lots of fun finishes and colors, like the galvanized steel vinyl I used for the watering can. Cut and weed each element from the desired color, then use transfer tape to assemble your card!

- StyleTech Craft Vinyl: Metalized and Craft Vinyl
- Transfer Tape
- Bloom Watering Can SVG Files
- Rolled Paper Flower SVG Templates
- Cardstock
- Glue
- Rhinestones
Decide on your colors, and separate the elements by color so you can cut them from the separate vinyl sheets. Use your weeding tools to weed the vinyl so you can start to assemble the design.
The flower can design I used for this came with instructions, which helped a lot when assembling the image. It came with a vinyl design cut and instructions, so I didn’t have bulky layers. Start with the largest element (the watering can) and then add each piece. Use the transfer tape to easily get the vinyl onto the front of the card.
I really love how amazing the StyleTech Craft Metalized vinyls look! This watering can looks like it’s made of galvanized steel! It’s so much prettier (and easier to assemble) than paper, in my opinion.
I like a clean and simple look, but you could also embellish the background before you add the focal design with vinyl.
For this card I combines the metallic vinyl on the watering can with cardstock to create 3D flowers. It’s fun to incorporate vinyl into your paper crafting because you can quickly create beautiful effects like the metal.
Have fun crafting and creating your own cards with vinyl!

Great card. I didn’t realize at first you used holographic vinyl for the water can.
