Cowboy Ghost Sign Supplies
- Boo Y’all Cowboy Ghost SVG from Printable Cuttable Creatables
- 3mm Basswood
- xTool Laser Cutting Machine
- Chalk Paint in Denim Blue, White, Gray, Orange, and Yellow
- Rustic Craft Pallet
- Wood Glue
Size the ghost and the text so it will fit your pallet. I used the “assembled” ghost svg and set all the lines to cut. I used two 12 by 12 inch sheets of basswood and cut the ghost from one sheet and the text from the other. Cut them using the settings on your machine.
I usually will paint my wood before I cut it, but since I cut everything at once so that the pieces could “nest” inside each other I painted afterwards. I like to separate the pieces by the color I want to use on them and then paint them one color at a time. Let the paint dry completely and apply a second application if necessary.
Glue the pieces together, using small dots of glue. Then assemble the ghost and the text on the background pallet. Use wood glue to adhere them, and place something heavy (I use books) on top while it dries.
Once it’s all done you can hang it up or display it on a mantle to create adorable Halloween decor! Have fun crafting and creating!
