- Wood Dowel
- Red & White Shatterproof Ornaments

Here is a brief summary of the steps that are shown in the video:
- Use a pouncer to add light layers of paint to the unfinished wood ornaments. This will also help create a slight cookie texture.
- Measure the wood ornaments and create designs to cut from vinyl. Most of these are just rectangles with circles welded onto the ends. Cut a variety of shapes to create faux “icing” designs for the “gingerbread” cookie decor.
- Cut the “icing” from white gloss vinyl by StyleTech Craft. Use transfer tape or peel and stick the embellishments onto the painted wood ornaments.
- Tape and wire greenery onto a wood dowel. This will create a stable base for the entire piece.
- String the red and white shatterproof ornaments onto a length of twine. Twist that ornament garland around the greenery.
- Arrange the faux gingerbread cookie decor on and around the greenery to create a cute and colorful mantlescape.
I had so much fun making this project, and I hope you’ll give it a try! Using vinyl instead of paint made my “cookies” look clean and neat. Have fun crafting and creating for the holidays!
