Here’s a quick, fun project that would make a cute gift: a bow tie necklace! I used a Bowdabra bow maker to quickly make several bow ties in no time.
When I found out I was having a daughter, I started making little bows for her hair. I used cardboard, pins, elbows, knees, and anything I could find to hold the little ribbons in place. Then I saw a mini-Bowdabra at Michael’s and decided to try it (using my coupon, of course!) Problem solved. It’s really like having an extra set of hands when you’re crafting.
So, needless to say, I was thrilled when Bowdabra invited me to create a project with their product. I was excited to get to use the original Bowdabra. It’s exactly the same as the mini one, just larger (obviously). Now I can make bows in all sizes! I highly recommend that you try one out. You can find the Bowdabra Bow Maker at your local craft store, like Michael’s or Jo-Ann Fabric.
I’ve been a bit obsessed with bow ties lately, so I decided to make a feminine version that I could wear. Using two sizes of ribbon and a Bowdabra, you can make funky, cute bow tie necklaces. Since this project is a bit tricky to explain with still pictures, I made a short video tutorial for you to enjoy:
Got it? Did I miss anything? Pretty easy, right? You’ve got to make a few! Bowdabra is giving you a chance to win their product, so scroll to the bottom of this post to enter.
