Easter is around the corner, and if you’re like me you have a ton of those plastic Easter eggs left over from last year’s egg hunts.  If not, you can easily find any color plastic egg anywhere right now!  For this project you’ll just use the larger half of the plastic egg to create an adorable tea cup that is perfect for party favors or decor.

This post first appeared at Dollar Store Crafts, where you can find me every Tuesday!

Supplies

  • Plastic Easter Eggs
  • Paper clips
  • Wood Doll pin stands
  • Paint
  • Glue
Step one:  Paint designs on the plastic eggs.  I used the end of my paint brush to make polka dots.  On one of them I painted tiny hearts.

Step two:  Paint the wood doll pin stands.
Step three:  Pull the ends of the paper clip apart to make a “v” shape.

Step four:  Glue the egg to the base and to add the cup handle.  Hot glue will work if these are just for decor, but if they’re going to be handled you’ll want to use E-6000 or super glue.

You can fill the cups with treats to make unique party favors.  They would look cute as table decor for a party. Have fun crafting and creating.
P.S.  Hold on to the other part of the plastic egg!  You can use them to make this Anthropologie inspired wind chime!
