Open all of the packages and extend the light strand. There are 35 lights per strand and 6 grapevine balls per package, so you will need multiple packages of grapevine balls to fill the entire light strand.
Cut a piece of twine that is about 4-5 inches long. Tie the twine around the plastic base of the light bulb and knot it.
Slip one of the light bulbs into a grapevine ball. There are plenty of gaps on the ball so just choose one large enough to easily slide the light in.
Pull one of the ends of the knotted piece of twine around a strand of the grapevine ball. I used a pair of jewelry pliers to guide the string in and out around a strand of the grapevine ball.
Tie the twine to attach the light to the ball. If you have too much twine hanging out just trim it as needed.
Repeat the steps above until the strand is as full as you want it to be.
These grapevine ball string lights make beautiful, natural looking party lights for an outdoor party. You can also use the strand to decorate a table, or pile them into a glass container to create a centerpiece. Have fun crafting and creating lighting decor for your next event!
