Celebrate summer with fun color changing vinyl cups! They are perfect for backyard BBQs and parties. This is a sponsored post.
I don’t know who loves these color changing cups more: me or my kids! These disappeared from the cupboard as soon as I set them out, and they are the first ones everyone reaches for. What’s not to love about a cup that changes color before your eyes?
This amazing new vinyl is from StyleTech Craft, my favorite and #1 pick for vinyl. Their vinyl weeds so easily, and they keep coming up with new, amazing lines to lust over. The color changing line of products currently has five options. I used three of them for this project, but here are all of the options you can see on their site:
- Cold Blue (clear to blue)
- Cold Pink Purple (pink to purple)
- Cold Pink changes (clear to pink)
- Cold Purple (clear to purple)
- Red Hot Yellow (red to yellow)
Color Changing Vinyl Cups Supplies
- StyleTech Craft color changing vinyl in pink, blue, and purple
- Mason jar glasses
- Vinyl Tool Set
- Transfer Tape
I chose a cut beach themed sea life design in the Silhouette Store, and I cut all four critters from each of the colors of color changing vinyl. After I weeded the vinyl I wrote the color on the backing so I wouldn’t mix them up, but as you can see in the image, the “new” color faintly shows when you hold the paper at an angle. When you look at it directly it looks clear, like a frosted vinyl. I cut the large eye circles out from glossy vinyl.
You have to use tools to get a good application with this vinyl! Since it is clear you want to make sure you are careful to get all the air bubbles out. I love the vinyl tool pack from StyleTech Craft, and this smaller tool is perfect for curved surfaces. Use the transfer tape to assemble the sea life creatures on the cup one piece at a time. Be sure to mix up the colors!
Aren’t they cute? The color intensifies as the glass gets colder. Imagine all the possibilities with this fun new vinyl?
