I like fun, simple party favors. Here's an idea for a treat that's easy to put together. My oldest turned TEN this week (waaah!) so I needed a party favor that wasn't too "baby-ish". Pop Rocks to the rescue! I found a pack of three at the Dollar Tree, so this may be my fastest, most frugal project to date! Super easy: 1. Cover "pop" and the "s" with washi tape. 2. Use a Sharpie to draw "you" and "!" in the bubble letters you perfected in middle school. 3. Color in your letters with … [Read more...]

It's a celebration!! I am thrilled to be invited to help Jill at Two Yellow Birds Decor celebrate her 1 year bloggiversary! I like how circling the twine gave my peacock color and movement. Double sided Hercules tape:I also made this funky throwback card for the challenge. Of course, I am doing all this at the last minute so the quality of the … [Read more...]

This circus elephant wall art is the first of three pieces...I hope to tackle the other two soon! To see more pictures of my son's circus themed nursery, please visit THIS post. Thanks for looking! … [Read more...]
Hot Air Balloon Re-imagined

I started looking at my Tim Holtz fragments and thought that turned upside down they could look like hot air balloons! Serendipity! I embossed some charms with red embossing powder to create the little baskets under the balloons. I like how these tags came out!As luck would have it, the Tuesday Trigger incorporates the colors I chose for my … [Read more...]
Juliana’s first birthday party
t's hard to believe that our baby girl is ONE already! We celebrated Juliana's first birthday party on Saturday. When we lived in Japan I began collecting kokeshi dolls, and I have quite a few dolls. Ever since Juliana has been born all I hear is that she looks like a baby doll, so for her first birthday theme I went with kokeshi dolls since she is my real life baby doll! I found the perfect kit on etsy from a seller named PaperGlitter and had fun printing, cutting, … [Read more...]
