vintage-party-invitation

It’s party time!  This week I will be sharing ideas so you can host an old fashioned, vintage themed birthday party!

My youngest two children have birthdays one month apart, so we threw one big party for them.  I decided to throw a Golden Books/Vintage Book themed party, and it was so much fun!IMG_5029
Much of my decor centered on the invitation, which I created.

I searched for images in my vintage book collection, scanned them, and created an invitation that resembled a flashcard.  To save time, I placed all the images on one sheet so I could just fold the paper in half twice and be done.  It looked like this before it was folded:

I used the same invitation images to decorate their cakes.  I took them to the Walmart Bakery to have picture cakes made.  They aren’t perfect but they turned out cute.

I thought it would be fun to share these images with my readers, so I hope you enjoy these free printables!  If you do use them, I’d love to see what you create!

Hope to see you back tomorrow for more vintage book party fun!
