I love photo gifts, both to give and to receive. For father’s day, I always order something from Shutterfly for my husband, usually a coffee mug. This year, I did something different.
I was excited to see the stainless steel mugs on the site. My husband usually eats breakfast during his commute, and by “eat breakfast” I mean he drinks his coffee. This travel mug seemed like the perfect gift.
I already had my family photos (courtesy of Brown Eyed Girl Photography) stored in my Shutterfly account from when I ordered a photo book. It was easy to choose a layout, make my photo selections, and get a 3-D view of my project. Quick, simple, and easy to do!
My mug arrived quickly, and I was stunned with the quality. It looks amazing and I know my husband will love it. (He doesn’t read my blog, so I’m not worried about him seeing this!)
To finish off my father’s day present, I made a cute bag and tag to go with my awesome photo gift.
To make this bag:
1. Lay a stencil on the bag and spritz it with alcohol inks.
2. Print the tag on cardstock and mat it. You can find my free “Daddy-O” printable here.
3. Use foam stickers to mount the tag onto the bag.
Put your photo travel mug in the bag, and get ready to delight dad (or grandad) with a personalized gift this father’s day!
Oh, I had to get a little something for myself, too. Check out my acrylic travel mug. I like to be silly with my own stuff, so I added “We put the ‘fun’ in ‘dysfunctional'” to my mug. You can add any text or monogram you like to your own personalized gift!
