Make star hook wall art to both organize and decorate a space!

I love when my decor can be both beautiful and functional!  This piece doubles as wall art and as a hook for keys, hats, or anything else! My son actually has this hanging in his room to hold his soccer medals.

Make star hook wall art to both decorate and organize any room in your house. This is great for keys, award ribbons, jewelry, and more.

The best part about making your own star hook wall art is that you can change the colors and quote to match your style.  Read on to learn how easy it is to make your own decorative wall art with a hook.

Supplies used to make star hook wall decor:

Step one:  Paint the edges of the wood panel. Choose a color that goes well with the decorative paper you will use in the next step.

Step two:  Cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the front of the panel, and adhere it with Mod Podge. Let the paper dry before continuing.

Step three:  Spell out a saying using chipboard letter stickers, and adhere to the panel. If the stickers don’t match, use the paint from step one to paint the letters before you stick them on. Perfect match!

Step four:  Glue the stars on using E-6000.

Step five:  Attach the star hook to the panel.  (I used a screw to attach the hook.)

You can hang your star hook wall art as is, or add a sawtooth hanger for added stability.  I’m hoping this quote will not only encourage my son to do his best, but also to quit leaving his hats on the floor!  A girl can dream, can’t she?  Have fun crafting and creating!
