Make a Halloween cloche and goth birdcages to decorate for Halloween. Affiliate links included in the post.
I hope you are enjoying all the Halloween decor ideas I have shared this week. I was on a crafting spurt, making stuff to sell at my first two attempts at selling at local markets. I love Halloween so it seemed like the perfect time to try out having a table at a craft fair. Because I was working so quickly I don’t have any process photos for these projects, but I hope the ideas can inspire you to make your own Halloween cloche and decorated birdcage in your own style.
I had a lot of fun deciding what to put inside this Halloween cloche. I really love these eyeball orbs that I got from Oriental Trading Co. and decided to feature one in this project. First I chose a piece of styrofoam that fit the base of the cloche tightly. I had to press on the sides a bit to get the right fit. I hot glued moss over the styrofoam, then added a toothpick. The eyeball is resting on the the toothpick.
The mini birdcages were fun to play around with, too. I added dried moss to the base of this one, then filled it in with flowers, a skull, and small plastic bones.
I had bought this squishy red heart in the dollar spot at Target some time ago and was excited to finally use it. I like the way the bright red contrasts against the dark cage and the dreary colors of the moss. I added a key to the top of the birdcage. I call this one “key to my heart”.
These were quick projects but they make a big impact! Have fun crafting and creating your own creepy decor!
