This gingerbread shaker box tutorial will show you how to create an adorable gift box! This is a sponsored post.
Grab a cuppa cuteness with this fun gingerbread shaker box tutorial! I think the box is just as fun as the present inside it. Who can resist shaking this adorable gift box to watch the gingerbread man, cheery marshmallows, and colorful confetti dance around?
I used a fun holiday stamp and die set from Maker’s Movement to make this cute gift box. Here’s how you can make it, too.
Gingerbread Shaker Box Tutorial Supplies
- Warm Wishes Stamp & Die Set
- Jingle Bell Shaker Sprinkles
- Clear Acetate Sheets
- Double Sided Adhesive Craft Foam
- Gift Box
- Card Stock in kraft, white, red, and light blue
- Xyron Sticker Maker and Tape Runner
- Embossing Ink
- White Embossing Powder
Stamp the gingerbread figure and the cheery smiling marshmallows using embossing powder. Sprinkle on white embossing powder and heat set it.
Die cut the figures out using the dies in the set. Cut multiple snowflakes out of white card stock, and cut the cup from the blue paper.
Cut adhesive foam strips to fit around the box. Cut the clear acetate to cover the top of the box.
Peel and stick the foam strips on. Add the die cut shapes and the jolly shaker sprinkles to the box.
Peel the top off the foam strips and add the clear acetate to lock all the moving pieces in.
Cut red card stock to make a frame for the box top. Score the paper so it folds over to hide the foam strips. Use a glue runner to attach the red “frame” to the box.
Use the glue runner and the Xyron sticker maker to add the foam and the cup. Decorate the cup and the box with the white snowflakes.
I like to rub a little micro glitter over the snowflakes to add some sparkle. The extra glue from the sticker maker will hold onto it, or you can remove the extra adhesive.
When you shake the box the cute little pieces fly out of the mug or sink back into them. How sweet is that?
