Turn a favorite memory into a cherished piece of home decor with this no-sew t-shirt pillow tutorial. This is a sponsored post with Fairfield World.
If you’ve ever wanted to make a pillow but don’t know how to sew or don’t have any sewing “stuff”, this project is for you! When you can’t or don’t want to sew, fusible webbing is a great alternative! It’s inexpensive and easy to find, and you can borrow someone’s iron if you don’t have one!
Making pillows out of t-shirts is a budget friendly way to create decor that has meaning to you. You can use the shirts left behind by someone you care about to keep their memory alive. Or you can use your own shirts from past concerts, sporting events, and schools to make pillows that bring back happy memories. Plus, t-shirt fabric is soft and easy to clean!
To avoid zippers and buttons and keep this project as easy as possible, I left the back open so you can easily slide the pillow insert into the case. The pillow inserts from Fairfield World come in a variety of sizes, so you can make small pillows, long pillows, rectangular pillows, etc. It’s up to you!
No Sew T-Shirt Pillow Supplies
If you’re not familiar with fusible webbing, it’s kind of like a glue strip for fabric. It gets “activated” when you heat it with an iron. In the video I show you how to use the fusible webbing as a measuring tape. You truly only need a few things to get started making your own pillows for home decor!
