For this project you’ll need:
8 oz. cool whip, thawed in the refrigerator
8 oz. coconut milk
1 packet orange gelatin
You can tweak the amounts to suit your taste. The orange flavor is strong and sweet, so add less of the gelatin packet if you desire. I had attempted this project with fresh orange juice the first time, and it came out too icy while I wanted a creamy consistency, which the gelatin maintained.
I thawed the cool whip in the fridge, then poured in the coconut milk and the gelatin packet granules. I (and my kids) mixed it with a whisk. Then we poured the mixture into our push pop containers.
I put the containers (minus the stick) in a loaf pan. I add the stick when I serve the pops.
This recipe made 9-10 orange dreamsicle pops.
