Step one: Cut the cuddle fabric so that it is 36 inches long and 28 inches wide.
Step two: Cut the metallic Oly*Fun fabric so it is 9 inches wide and 36 inches long.
Step three: Fold the metallic Oly*Fun in half and crease the fold firmly. The fabric should hold in place, but you can pin it if needed.
Step four: Place the right sides of the metallic fabric and the cuddle fabric together, and pin as pictured. Sew along the edge and remove the pins. The trim for the pillow case edge is now complete!
Step five: Fold the cuddle fabric in half, with the pattern facing inside. Pin the short edge opposite the metallic trim and the long edge, including the ends of the trim. Sew along the edge and remove the pins.
Step six: Turn the pillow case inside out.
My kids absolutely LOVE how soft and warm their pillows are now! Like the rest of our Christmas decorations, I think this is something they’ll look forward to unpacking and using every December. I love that they get to rest their little heads on these soft, colorful retro-inspired pillows while they dream of Santa and presents!
