Once you start making fabric yoyos, it’s hard to stop! They are very simple to make. Here are some ideas for some fun accessories you can make with fabric scrap yoyos.
Start with a round piece of fabric. Mine is nearly three inches in diameter.
With the wrong side of the fabric facing up, fold over the edge and begin stitching.
Continue all the way around the circle.
When you have reached the end, pull the string to “scrunch” your yoyo.
I sewed down through the center to secure my yoyo.
Embellish the centers with buttons, beads, cabochons, jewels, etc.
Then glue your completed yoyo onto ring bases, paper clips with glue pads, hair clips, bails, etc.
A pretty bookmark
A statement ring or a fun party favor for little girls
I love to wear this one! I adhered it to a scarf clip, then clipped it onto a chain that I braided with scrunched seam binding. Fun!
