This Valentine snowman box would be perfect for gift giving!
I made this Valentine snowman box with the idea of using it for gift giving, but you could use a larger container to make a classroom Valentine box, too. It would be a cute and unique way for kids to collect Valentine’s at the class party this year!

Use a ruler to draw lines on the box. Paint alternating stripes with Silver Extreme Sheen. Paint the hat cone silver as well. Let it dry then add a second application of paint.
Fill in the rest of the lines on the box with Pink Tourmaline Extreme Sheen paint. Paint the top of the lid and a cone bead pink as well. Paint pink hearts on the hat cone. Let them dry then add a second layer of paint.
Paint the styrofoam ball with White Pearl Elegant Finish Paint. optional: use white modeling paste to make cheeks on the ball.
Use Black Pearl Metallics paint to add the eyes and mouth to the styrofoam ball. Dab Pink Tourmaline onto the cheeks.
Use Decoupage to glue the cone bead onto the ball after pressing it into the foam. Paint the entire head with a thin layer of Decoupage, and sprinkle Glamour Dust over it.
Assemble the box by hot gluing the ball onto the lid. Glue the hat on top. Embellish the piece with some trim around the base of the head and a gold heart on top of the hat.
I originally published this post on the DecoArt site as one of their Outside Artists.
