Throw a fun Lego birthday party with these easy party ideas! This is a sponsored post with Oriental Trading Company but all ideas and opinions are my own.
My baby is turning six this summer! We will be in Italy during his actual birthday, and we threw his party early so he could celebrate with family and friends. He is a HUGE Lego fan (remember his Lego Superhero themed room that I shared?) so, of course, he wanted a Lego birthday party. You can see my tutorial for Lego birthday party invitations and a DIY photo backdrop in THIS post.
We decided to check out a local business, Bricks and Minifigs, for his party location. Max loved the store and I loved the party room set up. The kids get to play for an hour (guided and supervised) to build and create with Legos. Then you move to another party room for cake and party favors!
Since I just threw a luau themed party last weekend, I kept my DIY projects to a minimum this time (there are only so many hours in a day!) I topped a store bought cake with this fun LEGO Set Minifigure Birthday Set. I let my son build and decorate it himself, and he was so proud of his cake!
I used candy melts with a LEGO Minifigure Ice Cube Traymold to make little edible minifigs. These topped store made mini cupcakes. The kids were delighted to eat the minifigs!
The goody bags were a BIG hit. Here’s what I used:
The favor boxes are easy to assemble and you don’t need tape or glue to put them together. Unfold them to make a square, then use the tabs on the bottom to keep the box together. My kids loved stacking these and playing with them. They are using them to make “blind bags” with their own custom minifigures. It’s so cute!
My son had a blast at his Lego birthday party, and so did our guests. This might be one of the easiest, least stressful parties I’ve ever thrown! I’m so glad it was a fun day for everyone.
