Make mini pallet projects inspired by Harry Potter! This is a sponsored post with OnlineLabels.com but all ideas and opinions are my own.
Happy Harry Potter month! To celebrate this fun month (Harry’s birthday month, for those not in the know) I’m participating in RaeGun’s Harry Potter blog hop. I made some mini pallet Potter inspired wall art as well as a pencil holder out of craft sticks. This makes perfect desk decor! PLUS I’m participating in an awesome Harry Potter prize pack giveaway, so be sure to read to the end of this post to enter for a chance to win!
Supplies Used to make Mini Pallet Decor:
- Jumbo Craft Sticks
- Alphabet stickers from OnlineLabels.com
- Hot glue gun
- Ultra Dye in various colors
- Waterproof Printable Sticker Paper from OnlineLabels.com
To make the Mini Pallet Signs:
Snip the ends off of the craft sticks so they aren’t round anymore.
Evenly space 6 wood craft sticks apart.
Hot glue three sticks as pictured.
Hot glue two more sticks to the ends as pictured.
Use the alphabet stickers to spell out a phrase.
Use ultra dye to paint over the craft sticks. Let the dye dry.
Spray the mini pallets with gold craft paint spray.
Peel the stickers off the mini pallet.
Optional: Paint the pallets first, then spell the message with the stickers and spritz with the gold spray, like I did with the mini pallet sign on the right.
To make the Hogwarts Houses pencil holder:
Place several sticks side by side.
Glue a craft stick across the back to hold them together. Make 4 of these.
Paint each of the “walls” with the colors of the Hogwarts houses. Let the dye dry.
Print the crests for the houses on the waterproof paper. I used this free printable and my HP Envy color printer.
Fussy cut the crest out, peel off the backing, and attach the crests to the correct color house “wall”.
Hot glue the walls to a wood square base, and glue the sides together.
One of my sons and I have read the entire Harry Potter series together, so this will be perfect on his desk.
